The MTEC Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Program—divided into three parts—is designed to in-demand skills for those just getting into the industry, as well as experienced technicians looking to add to their credentials.

All MTEC AC and Refrigeration classes can be taken alone or in order for a complete certification.

MTEC’s Three-Part AC/R Program

Getting your EPA Certification is and important first step to working in this trade. It allows students to handle refrigerants and participate in the hands-on aspect of subsequent classes, which include working in our state-of-the-art, 2400-sq. foot training facility. If you’re new to Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, we’ll cover that first and then help you build your knowledge and skills. Already have your EPA Certification? No problem, you can skip right to AC Refrigeration and Troubleshooting.

Part One 
The four-day course covering EPA Certification & Intro to Air Conditioning—a great starting point.

Part Two
This five-day course covering AC Refrigeration and Troubleshooting. Take a deep dive into air conditioning and refrigeration installation and service.

Part Three
A 40-hour training session on Spring Mini-Split Heat Pumps.
