July 22: Nicholas McKechnie, of Durham, Maine, has graduated from MEMA Technical Education Center’s Oil Technician Training class.
During the six-week program, Nicholas completed a variety of training, which included classroom study and 75 hours of hands-on training in the lab. Emphasis is placed on Workforce Development as well as Oil Heat Technician Training.
McKechnie, who is a member of the Skowhegan Area High School Class of 2008, has resided in Durham for seven years. He enjoys hiking, going to the gym, playing video games, and spending time with his wife and two children.
Nicholas will now move onto the next portion of MTEC’s full semester HVAC-R program, Intro to AC with EPA certification, and gain another step in obtaining a job in the HVAC-R field.
