March 3, 2022: Nicholas Whitten completed his Oil Technician Training portion of MTEC’s HVAC-R Professional Certification Program. Nicholas is a 2013 graduate of South Portland High School, and he now resides in Portland, Maine. During the six-week program, Nicholas completed a variety of training, which included classroom study and 75 hours of hands-on training in the lab. Emphasis is placed on Workforce Development as well as Oil Heat Technician Training. Nicholas will be returning to MTEC to complete the next step in MTEC’s HVAC-R Professional Certification Program, Propane and Natural Gas. Nicholas was sent in for training by member company Maietta Titus Blaschke Plumbing and Heating.
